I edited my post a bit back about that, it was in the 12's. They are still a heavy car, you would think for all that money it would be light..

With all your posts, I'd think you would have some sort of idea what you were talking about...

Just a thought, don't post what you have no idea about. I know it'll hurt your post count but it's a pretty good practice.

That's the second time you call me out there bud.. I am sorry I don't know about your beloved Ford..not my problem if you want to root for the other guy..
I am too busy playin with and helping people with the Chevy products. Take the time to look into some of the other threads when you pull Ford's Dick out of your mouth, and you will see that I have a damn good idea what I am talking about, expecially since I just got done building my own car..I am sure that there is a few people that I have helped out that can back me on that one also.

I really don't understand why all the hatred for the other guy. I'm glad ford is still offering pony cars. Dodge is getting back into the game with their hemi. Chevy, which has been draggin' it's ***, is finally bringing something to the table with the new camaro.

I find it amazing that in these days of emmissions regulations and stringent fuel economy standards, comsumers are still able to go out and find powerful rear wheel drive cars at affordable prices.

Kudos to all the manufacturers who haven't forgotten us gearheads and thanks for keeping the performance revolution going

My beloved Ford? I'm only stating the facts of what the cars run. It's fine that you don't know but how about since you don't know, don't post erroneous information.

I'm glad you're such a big boy with all your tech knowledge so how about stick to what you know.

I haven't seen any 500's around here yet. I see alot of new GT's but never anybody that wants to play... Not even a rev... Eh, oh well. I'll eventually make it to the track and hopefully see and maybe race some of them. Whether they are faster or slower or whatever, I'm glad there are different choices amongs the brands because I just dont think it would be as much fun talking **** and debating if we all drove camaro's/firebirds.

Come to a TnT at Gainesville Raceway -- there are usually quite a few '05+ Mustangs that come out

To throw my $.02 in -- I haven't been too impressed with the bone stock '05+ Stangs. Historically I've seen them run the same times as a stock LT1 car 13.9 - 14.1 @ 98ish. I haven't faced any that have really given me a run for my money around town.

I have respect for the mod motor though, I've seen what they are capable of, and they are torque monsters. I have a friend with a 'Turd' '98 GT with the 2v 4.6 that put down well over 400 ft lbs of torque on a 75 shot with intake, exhaust, and tuning. My car made about 450 on a 100 shot, so I was definitely impressed.

I see your point, and there are many respectable mudstains out there, may not be daily drivers, but there out there. There's a guy that drives around in a 1996 Cobra, it has the 4.6L 32valve engine, had a k&n filter, not cold air intake just the filter and nitto drags... and he was running 13.9 stock... might seem slow for a 32 valve engine, but it was respectable. I heard from another friend that works at the local Ford dealer that he just got a twin turbo set up on same car, and that the guy had a dyno sheet showing about 720 ponnies... I have not seem the car, but I do believe my friend, the owner of the car is a modest guy, doesn't just talk smack, I guess those are the ones that really go all out silently on their cars.....

I was out last night, I put on my MT ET Streets and drove around just to see who I could dig up to mess with, and at a light I came upon an '06 GT. I revved it as I coasted up and he revved back, he had some Exhaust done to it. We both lined up, and waited for the light. It turned green and me and him both launched hard, I got into 2nd about 50ft off the line, and left him by about 3 carlengths as soon as it shifted. He gave up after that, and turned off before coming up to the next light..
