cam kit itstall problem

Just installed the lt4 hot cam kit in my 94 firebird now having problems, need to see if anyone can help. Lined up the timing chain marks, 6o'clock top gear, 12 o'clock bottom gear and camat 3, opti only goes in one way, it's a sline gear opti, now the car diesels when you go up a hill or pull out hard, no power and bad idle. If anyone knows what is causing this please let me know. Thanks

Come on, there hasto be somebody somewhere that has a clue what could be causing this.

recheck spark plug wires.mine did that when i had some in the wrong spots on the opti.

I'll recheck sparkplugs, but it surges real bad also, I mean up and down and up and down then it dies.

i lined mine up at top dead center on the cam and crank, and the opti on # 6

What did you set your valve lash at? 1/4 past should be all you need, some even only go 1/8. Allot of manuals say 1/2 turn but that can be too much.

Is this right, put the #1 piston top dead center and the rotor in the opti is pointing toward the coil wire, cars running bad, sounds like deasel under load and no power after the cam install
