Falkens makes a good all around tire, not too expensive.

Sumitumo HTR+ -- $78 a tire on Tire Rack
40,000 mile warranty. I've been running mine for two years and they work great. Not the best for straight line traction, but for the price you can't beat it with a stick.

Tirerack will charge you for shipping, but discounttiredirect.com won't. It comes out to about the same, but you can get Falkens or Hankooks (what I run) from them. Just more options. I've used DTD several times and they're just awesome.

I hope the BF Goodrich G Force Sports are good. I just ordered a pair of 255/45/R16 for the back. Having traction problems.

I'll give advise for the only tires I have used so far. I have Hankook Ventus HRII H405 currently and they hook pretty good. Very cheap too, about $75 each. My tred still looks new, even after a year of daily driving and burnouts here and there. It wasn't untill the torque converter install before I could actually break traction from a stop. Even with the news gears, I can't spin above 10mph. It's probably what your looking for, unless you want something more aggressive.
