Only? Wow didn't look at the price. Wonder what it weighs? My VFN 3" ss hood is 16 lbs, about 19 with the hardware Vs. 52 lbs stock hood.

Think I paid about $600 shipped.

Not a big fan honestly. Of the price or the "gills".

I could wish that I had one of these. The functional vents are pure race if applied to a performance LT1, not a DD thing and not just cosmetic. Great for getting the heat out with headers, HP, sprayed or forced induction engines. If they fit well I hope they sell a bunch.

yes, interesting...not a fan of purely cosmetic pieces, but it does have a functional aspect to it, three, i guess. it's too bad that jap crap or ricers, if u prefer, has given carbon fiber such a bad reputation among us muscle car fans. it is really great stuff, and can obviously be functional; it's what F1 cars are made of. long live Schumi!!!

no ****, thats awesome!! what keeps the stock shocks from tossing the hood over the roof?? If they can lif thea heavy *** stocker, does it cause any issues with the lightweight glass hood?

Yah Im pretty sure they dont weigh 50 pounds it didnt seem to be that heavy when I was carrying it, its alot heavier than my harwood but I dont think its quite 50 pounds Im guessing between 30-40.

I'd love to have those vents on a normal Firebird hood back up against the cowl like that, but in the recessed area in-line with the front faux vents.
