chips
are there any really good chips out there to boost hp? i was reading aobut the hypertech 1 i think it was, it was supose to help gas millage a little, altohugh i looknig mroe for power and tunning. does anybody know of a good 1 and where i can order it from?
I'd do at least the basic bolt ons before altering the PCM.
(Cold air intake + nice flowing 3" catback)
If I remember correctly, your car will require that you send the whole PCM in.
It's easy to do, but it leaves the car undrivable for a week or so while it's out.
Remove two 10mm bolts at the base, then unplug the pigtails.
(I don't think any of the mail order guys do core exchanges)
Older PCMs let you remove the chip from the PCM and swap it.

Yup, a lot of guys wait until they have a few bigger mods then go have it tuned on a dyno chassis.
Which actually works out well since it's set up perfectly for your car.
Assuming there is a decent tuner in your area.
(FWIW, I drove mine 4hrs to Tulsa to have Ed Wright tune it because I trust him to do it right)
Headers are an awesome mod for LT1s. (actually for just about any car)
If you can get away with it in your state, go with long tubes.
