Tested it with a multimeter and all the readings were fine in both Blaster coils I have (stock & MSD)

I also spaced the ICM and it did nothing.

I unplugged the 02 Sensors and re-set the computer and it ran the same. Although I noticed I couldn't rev it as much from idle.

did this just start happening out of the blue one day or has it been like this since you got it running?

Check your TPS, my 97' had the same problem and was running in limp mode. Ended up the Holley 58mm TPS bolts were not drilled just right and had to slot the TPS to get it back into spec.

My opti didnt throw any codes at all. I wanted to replace the ignition controll module but I ended up replacing the opti...$$$ though Or check your fuel pressure, and a strange thing that I had happen was the in-tank line had a tiny hole rubbed into it, caused alot of problems.. making it run good wound up, at low idle there wasnt enough fuel flow to compensate for the undetectable in-tank leak.

When my opti went out, it was horrible under load, at any RPM it would stutter and spit. At idle you could hear that it was just barely off, until you gave it some gas in neutral, then you had fireballs. Also ran like *** when cold

I guess every failed opti is a different story. Some NAPAs can test your ICM, as you state it only happens as the car warms up. Order the ICM through GM though if it comes up bad, I won't ever order anything electrical related from NAPA ever again. its like $5 more through a GM dealership, well worth the piece of mind.

The metal shield that covers the optical sensor was completely fired and there was a ridiculous amount of residue built up on the points.

Build up on the points probably isn't good. Neither is a burned up optical sensor shield.

I got a replacement through Summit & I'm about to order a Delteq system.
