cam help and suggestion
cam help and suggestion gotta 95 lt1 camaro 6 speed with 4 11s and now headers and full 3 inch magnaflow. lookin to get a cam and all the goodies that go along. how crazy can i get if anyone has any suggestions post it and what kinda gains can i expect. car ran 9.3 in the eighth without the gears just an intake ran 9 with the gears and new street tires nothing fancy. i wanna get mid 12's or faster is it possible what cam specs and parts do i need and how much will it cost thanks.
I used to have the CC306 with stock ported heads. It was a friggin monster of a cam, but it lacked in my car since I was still running the 3.42 gears in it at the time. The GM847 is just a little more aggressive than the CC306, either will give you BIG gains, and yes they will work fine with stock heads, especially since your gears. Now, if you decide later to go with a good set of aftermarket heads as well, your HP gains will do nothing but keep going up.
