Deleting TC
Deleting TC Can i just order a throttle cable for a non TC car to delete it. I would just like to get rid of the tc motor on the valve cover. Also i will be buying the SJM ABS delete and line lock kit how do I tell what type of breaks i have 3 or 4 channel
Yes, you can just throw in a throttle cable for a non TC car. I did this a while back when deleting my cruise control and TC after the TC motor went bad. As a plus, the engine compartment looks much less cluttered as well!
From what I've read, a 3 channel rear only has one sensor on the differential/carrier housing and the reluctor ring is actually inside the pumpkin (I haven't actually checked it out myself, but I would guess you just look for a single harness/wire plugging in somewhere on the pumpkin). A 4 channel rear as an ABS sensor on the end of each axle tube, one for each wheel (in which case I assume you'd identify it as such by looking for a split harness/wire running to each rear wheel).
