Default Factory Oil Cooler???

I was wondering where i could find a factory oil cooler for my 95 z....i have seen some on ebay but noone can say for sure if they came off an lt1 from a camaro..i dont really wanna spend 150-200 on an aftermarket oil cooler...mine wont work cause i spun the bearing and it has all sorts of metal shavings in it and as far as i can see there is no way to clean the fins that run the coolant through. anyone know where to pick one up.

Don't run the one you have, obviously. A trans cooler would also do, like a B&M. Best of luck.

You dont need one, most people remove them. The clogged oil cooler could have had something to do with the spun bearing.

no it got clogged from the main bearings being spun..after it spun it picked up a bunch of the metal...by not running it wont the oil get a lil too warm

Probably not.
LT1 corvettes don't come with an oil cooler, GM just used Mobile One instead.

Mine got clogged up with metal from 2 spun rod bearings. I went 397 and took the damn thing off and haven't seen any negative effects. One positive is that you can put a taller oil filter on if you remove the cooler.
