Compression on a LT1?

Compression on a LT1? What is the actuall stock compression on an LT1. Exact #'s. How much compression can you run without detonating on pump gas. I want to run the maximum. I am looking at 11.88 compression that I want to run. This car is tuned but I want more compression. I will be spraying this motor.

stock is around 10.3, i believe. depending on cam, you can run up to 12.0 on an lt1 with 93 octane pumpgas. mine is around 11.6 and does fine on pump gas. if your going to spray it you should run some race gas. my last block was decked and was 11.8 it also did fine on pump gas.

for every point of comp. gained, i believe its a 4% power increase(engine hp x 4%= hp gained). as for likeing it. when i stroked the engine i also gained comp. at the same time. it does fine driving it around.
