Default Which Cam?

Which one of these cams would be good for what I want to do with my car? I already ordered a Lingenfelter Air Intake, 58MM BBK TB, and Im trying to decide on what header/exhaust I wanna run. Later Im going to Put on AFR LT4 Heads and an Edlebrock LT4 Intake. maybe a stroker. which of these or others would work best on my car?

I say the cc306. It is a very powerful off the shelf cam. Its also a pretty good choice for what you want to do in the future. To be honest with you, it get a custom ground cam with the specs that you have. Just my .02 cents.

I would go custom if you are going to throw all that money into the heads and intake why cheap out on the cam. most off the shelf are not designed for highly modded LT1s and especially LT4s. Custom is the only way to go will be the best extra $100 you could spend

Stop buying parts and start doing research. You haven't screwedup yet but are planning too.

Do not go as big as these guys are telling you at least not with stock compression and as far as the XFI recommendation BASED ON WHAT. See lots of guys recommending it and mostly mediocre times being delivered and lots of valvetrain problems.

You want to do a cam on a stock motor for now consider something like the GMPP846 or Comp 503 at the largest, it is not well recieved here but the "little" cams Crane 210/224, Lingenfelter 211/219 or 219/219 GMPP 845 really do make cars fast.

Stock heads ported are the right choice for most of us don't be so fast to assume you need aftermarket.

Yeah, remeber its all in the combo, and by that I mean the entire car's combination...Look at who's running fast and pick their brain... 9 times out of 10 its with a cam smaller than you think...I'm partial to the LPE cams that Dwayne mentioned above for off the shelf stuff...The 219/219 .560/.560 LPE cam is awesome and although its dated is very good...Imho look at smaller duration with bigger lifts...up to .570" with ported stockers...You won't need to spin the thing to the moon, run way high stall converters, and won't need big gears to make them work...I run a custom 226/234 in my stroker and was told that I was nuts to run a cam that small...Those same folks now pm me all the time for specs on my combo...

BUT you really need to pick a direction and do your research first...
