Default LT1 rebuild, Guys pls help.

I've got a set of Stock heads getting ported, w/ new LT4 GM Valve Spring, 1.5 roller rockers and a ZZ4 cam. The motor has 190K on it, I'm gonna get a new opti, but I was wondering about the short block. Can I get away with getting new pistons, and using the old connecting rods and crank, have it all rebalanced. The car is not a daily driver. I'll probably drive it twice a week if even that much. So you guys let me know what you think. And do they have to pull the motor to do a cam swap on an lt1?

Oh yeah, this is being done to a 1996 Formula.

Thanks for the help.

That would all depend on the wear rods might need reconditioned and if that is the case just get a good set of forged I beams like eagle or scat they run about the same as getting the stockers done if needed. the crank will probably be ok might need turned and i would have it polished if its going to be out why not the shop mine is a runs about $40 to polish a crank. And replace all the bearings cam included.

I have been look at the this "kit" alittle bit for my rebuild. Since I have zero plans for big HP, FI, or Spray, I am think it might be just right because I need new pistons and by the time you paid to have the rods reconditioned and pressed on, this might be a better route?
