Default idle

does anyone have any tricks up their sleves for turning up the idle on a 93 LT1? its a new engine and where it idles now the oil pressure is a little low for my likings.

Reprogram the chip. I don't think there is another way where the iac won't try and compensate.

Just contact your tuner and get a reburn with a higher idle programmed. What is it idling at now? What is your oil PSI? Have you verified the guage with a mechanical guage?

it idles at 500RPM, i checked the gauges accuracy and it is dead on, i am at about 20 psi of pressure at idle i would just like to keep it a little higher while im in engine break in. if i can only re-flash my pcm again i guess ill just hold off on that because i will end up changing it back in a month.

500 is way to low, even for a bone stock car. My 383 idles at 950. You need to contact your tuner and see what he set it at.
