oh and I was directly quoting Car and Drivers estimates.

let me tell you what I told this punk in an SRT-4 the other day when he was talking trash about my WS6, no matter how much money you dump into your car or how fast you make it, its still just gonna be a neon, and in your case a grandpa car with a big engine.

like said above, it might be fast but I will never own a FWD especially one that is trying to pawn itself off as a performance car,
no offense but if you dislike our LT1 F-bods so much what are you doing in this section?

I honestly have to say that I'd be happy to own a SRT-4 :\ I know people here don't think they're quick, but I've seen what lightly modded ones can do, and it's pretty crazy. They can do quite a few free-mods like we can on our LT1s but they get more umpf from it.

However, when someone talks trash about another persons car, which CLEARLY isn't a piece of junk, is just showing their ignorance. Like when I had my 91 and the trans was bad, with a broken trans mount. This kid in a GTP comes up yadda yadda asking to race, I chuckled, and he's like "Look at the side of the car" implying "I own a GTP". "I run 12s in the 1/4" lol rooooooiiiiiight. He only BARELY beat me. I was losing so much torque from my trans TWISTING and hitting the tunnel that I just couldn't launch from a roll or a dig. After I got my highly built trans in there, the only person that could beat me was this Eclipse GSX (AWD). He had some nice mods done to it, and with the AWD, hooked like crazy. I did like GSX Eclipses. I test drove an Eclipse at the same place I got my 91, and O M G. That thing was kind of a piece, but it pulled like nothing I've ever been in. It was insane lol

Just, know what YOU have and what THEY have, before you start to bash them. Thats all I ask.

ok anyone runnin slow times with an lt1 is either at high elevation or just cant drive. I run 13.7 stock on street tires, did 1.6 rr and dropped to 13.6. Then I put in a 120 shot nitrous and had a race with a ls1 with cam and nitrous. got him by over a car. its not what you drive, its how you drive. Besides, LT1 sounds better and you get to be the under dog, which makes it more fun when you win. LT1 ftw

Man i never thought that theyre would be another ls1 vs lt1 thread

I see it like this:

-The ls1 is better
-The lt1 is still very good
-The 2 engines are fun to mods and pretty much reliable

I choose an lt1 even if i was having enough money to buy an ls1,why?Because i love it better.

My close friend bought an ls1 and of course he got enough money to buy a lt1 ,why?Because he love it better.

Somethimes you need to forget about wich one is faster or stronger and just test drive them and buy wich one you like better. You also need to sit and think that you also buy and modify a car for yourself and not for someone else who maybe got a faster car.

I wanted a reliable 12sec car that was fun to race and drive in city. When i get beat by a ls1, i just give him a thumbs up and im still happy with my car.Their is always gonna be someone faster than you.

Ive seen some crazy dude with some import(civic, prelude ect),its fashion here in quebec .They invest a lot of money in their car and produce a lot of power.I ve been beat by a couple of them and you know what?I dont care because i still like my car and when it comes to tastes my bird has a lot more class than a cheap 4 bangers.

So what im trying too say is just bought the model you like for yourself and stock thinking about the hp diff.
