Default calling all 11sec. lt1's

So are there any bolt on lt1s in the 11s? Doesnt matter if its a 11.9999. My goal is just that, to hit a 11 in my car. Its got major weight loss, suspension, every bolt on and at least a 150 shot, hopin to top out at a 200 shot. I got gears and a built trans and a 3200 stall. Car prob weighs prob in the high 3100lbs range. Motor wise ill have 1.6 rockers and a valve train, got longtubes with bullets dumped off the headers. Any one running a 11 sec. lt1? And if you dont think its poss. then it looks like i have a goal to shoot for then!!

Technically aren't you already past bolt on with N2O and roller rockers?

I was under the impression that bolt ons were things that were bolted to the motor, nothing internal or forced induction.

You are correct about the nitrous, but i think the RRs are considered bolt-ons since you can just 'bolt them on'. Also I think the record is still 11.80 by "Shon Herron" or something like that, just search and you may find it.

if you dont hit your goal sell your car and get something else. the car sounds like it should hit your goal even if it is a 11.999 run you still broke 11's

What bolt ons did Shon have? Is there an old thread already about him?

thats what im doin, the only thing i dont have right now is a k-member and a-arms. Everything else is gone... and i mean everything. Just finished my exhaust lastnight, still gotta do the valvetrain and wire the nitrous and well see what it can do.

The fastest bolton+juice Impala is 11.3 on I think a 150 shot. If you don't run well into the 11s it is your fault for doing something wrong. Don't even bother attempting a 200 shot on as cast stock heads you wont go faster than you would have with about a 150 shot they exhaust side just can't move that kind of volume.

it does bolt on, but it is classified as a power adder. same as turbos superchargers etc.

If this board was worth a **** the search function would work and someone could look this stuff up. And they will not let me put a link to my 'shop car' that has all the information needed about this bolt on car but since it's like that I will fill those in...

It was a 97Z28 with 132k miles, T56 on stock replacement clutch driven by Russ Ethridge. Dude that had it before me sprayed the **** out of it but I never did
Bolt ons included all the ones everyone else does for mid 12s, 4.33 gears, race weight was in the 3100 range and we spun it to 6000+ thru every gear and launched at 6k+ and it hooked and left!!
Suspension and good air is the best mods you can have plus a sticky track. the car never was put on the dyno and I did all the tuning via LT1edit/Tunercat.
If you want more details and can not find the post from me let me know, I will open the book for you and you can go that fast too.

NOW, 11s with bolt ons and nitrous should not be a problem at all!!
