383 LE2 dyno #'s
I'll have the lighter Weld wheels and 8.8 rear end next time instead of heavy *** 17" WS6 wheels and stock rear so maybe a lil lighter, who knows.
It is a fully loaded 97 T/A with rear seats, belts, AC, lil flip down thing in back, all 4 floor mats, 12 disc CD changer in truck, full windsheild washer fluid, etc, etc, etc.
I have SFC's but also removed the spare and jack so that is almost a wash.
Maybe get it loser to 3700-3750 lbs with the lighter front runner and 15x10 Weld wheels with QTP's but not real sure of weight difference in rear ends (8.8 vs stock 7.5).
No roll bar so I might have limited track time. I was reminded about the 11.49 cage rule after every pass last time (11.55, 11.54, 11.53).
In a lighter car with some gear and stall, the 355 is actually a better choice since it is not RPM limited like a 383.
****, maybe I'll just invest in LT1Edit. In a lighter car with some gear and stall, the 355 is actually a better choice since it is not RPM limited like a 383.
that comming from some1 that knows what they are talking about...most people say no replacement for displacement...
guess the lt1 intake and heads are just too much of a restriction for a bigger motor...
