how hard would it be to put in an LT1 engine into a 1991 Camaro Z28? im getting a 1995 LT1 engine and transmission out of a corvette for 850, just curious as to how much it would take to get this engine into the 3rd gen fbody

i just put a 96 lt1 in a 91 rs. I have had a lot of problems with it but I started out with hardly any knowledge of lt1. The install went well. I ran into problems getting it to run right. i had to get my wire harness made into a stand alone harness. Mine runs now but it runs shitty. I think it needs to be tuned and it also needs a stall converter. Overall i supoose it wasnt all that bad. but i also had a lot of help.

try a search. lots of people have done it with much success. an lt1 into a 3rd gen is a much needed upgrade. i personally am very fond of that bodystyle and especially ones with lt1's in them. do it.

or if you want to pay the big bucks you can get a 94-95 painless harness from summit racing for just over $600. part number PRF-60502. You'll need sensors, computer, etc....
