Default I don't trust ebay...

Should i be worried about buying exhaust on ebay? I found a couple kits for decent prices but idk... something just bothers me about buying from ebay. Any advice and or input on places to buy from would be much appreciated.

I'm buying a magnaflow cat back btw

most places have them for around 388 + shipping but i found some places on ebay for less than that with free shipping. sounds too good to be true to me

Well, ebay involves risk. Buying on here does too. That's why there are rules and reg's set in place to protect you. It's a pain in the a$$ to get your money back if you do get screwed, but I have had really good luck in all my dealings. Just be very picky about who you buy/sell to.

i've got my hood, spoiler, TCI, and AC delet from ebay and have never had a problem, i had more problems buying things off this site then on ebay... I would just make sure its from a company off ebay, if its a private seller than check there feed back..

I bought my Magnaflow system from the store "Performance-Curve."

http://stores.ebay.com/Performance-Curve

This was over a year ago, so it's possible that the price has gone up somewhat since then, but I got a tip from another guy on here about that store and he said he did the "Best Offer" deal with them and instead of taking one of their "free gifts," he got more money knocked off of the total price. So I tried the same thing he did, and got the system for $280 shipped.

Right here they've got a system for $388.01:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-97...00703638QQrdZ1

Worth a shot, but you might try and see if you can still get them to go for the $280 shipped deal if you tell them you heard about it on here. (Same thing I did.)

My experience with them was positive. I wouldn't hesistate to buy from them again.

I've had pretty good luck buying/selling stuff off Ebay. The big thing is to check the ratings and if the have sold similar stuff/products in the past. Usually if you have some of the power sellers with big numbers and a good rating you should be ok.

^ agree with the above, also don't buy anything from users who just recently registered their account (like within the last year or so) as they are more likely to be scammers.

Also pay with a credit card if you can (even if you use paypal). It is much easier to get your money back if you pay with a credit card than it is with a bank transfer.

If you take some basic saftely precautions you'll be fine. I've done over 100 transactions on ebay (both buying and selling) and only had 1 that did not go well.

what pissed me off the most was that the person that ripped me off had a very high trader rating on there.Thought I was being careful but obviously not careful enough.

I got my Magnaflow off ebay at...way less than $300, new. Funny thing is ebay intervened the auction because the price was too low!! LOL!! The guy was very cool about it and we ended the transaction on our own.

yeah everything ive got installed in my sig has come from EBAY, i have only had one problem with buying some Eibach lowering springs from a guy on ebay. I won them at 25 dollars and then i kept writing him cause he didnt include shipping he never responded so i never payed him. READ THERE FEEDBACK THAT IS A GOOD WAY TO DETERMINE IF THERE PRODUCTS ARE GOOD. Also email the poeple that have bought from them and ask them questions about what they recieved.

I have traded and sold online for ten years now. It was not until recently that I started getting ripped. One was for a set of 50Lph injecters. $450 ripped for and I only got $170 back. I have had good luck with business's but I have even had a few problems with those lately. STILL waiting for some lugg nuts to show up for my new wheels. I got the wrong ones the first time. It was my fault I clicked the wrong ones after getting some questions answered. I sent them back over six weeks ago and not a word back. Shot them a mail and they ask if I followed there return rules. Which I did. Not a word back.

About time to hit them up again...
