Default White smoke?

Every now and then I will see white smoke out my tail pipes I just deleted all EGR and removed all concerning it(air pump, tubes,etc...). Could this very well be my culprit?

youre not overheating or anything right?

do you still have your cat?

usually white smoke is a sign of a blown headgasket. or condensation.

I have overheated a couple of times but I never got it in the red zone I shut off before then. Trying to fix a slight cooling problem. No cats.

Condensation? From what. If it was a head gasket wouldn't the smoke be constant?(future ref just incase).

well it depends how bad the headgasket is blown. if its a pinhole leak and youre getting very little coolant in the CC, then there would be light smoke on idle. barely enough to tell. the smoke usually is consistant with a badly blown headgasket. when you rev it up higher with a smaller leak then youll only notice it when you look at the tailpipes.

burnt coolant gives off a mid to thick sweet smelling white smoke.

condensation will always happen, your cat turns one of the exhaust gasses into condensation. it only happens when its cold outside.

Moisture can form from lower quality gas too. Throw some isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) into your tank.

Check this video clip, I just had some similar trbl after deleting my EGR and this is what my prob was.
The video clip was someone elses car that I happened to see in this forum, and the other link was my thread looking for help on the issue.
good luck

"running car with coolant cap off and looking for bubbles or movement."
Bubbles in the radiator means a head gasket leak? What are all the ways to check for a leaking head gasket?

As far as I know just the three I tried;
1 oil in coolant
2 coolant in oil
3 with the car running you could see some bubbling in the radiator ( at least thats what ive been told)
I guess it would also be possible to find it thru compression check, but not sure how well that would work.

Is your smoke white, or grayish like in that video clip? Mine was definately more grey than white and the breather fixed my problem.
