Default super comp LT's touching

so I installed my super comp lt's today. And the passenger side really really tight, its like touching or 1/16" away from the sub frame. And its also touching the wiring that goes for the abs. I am afraid to tart it because it will melt the **** out of the wiring and the ac box.

are they always this tight?

also the car is jacked up kinda redneck right now so maybe thats tweaking something? It has two jack stands up front, on the frame and the RR wheel is on a wheel ramp.

thanks

Good choice in headers you won't be disapointed. Splice and extend your wires. After that wrap them in reflective heat wrap. Then secure them with zip ties. Do this with all your wires (o2 sensors,etc...). Finally get MSD wires with protective boots to go over them. I just went what you will go through. Sooner or later those headers will melt your spark plug wire. It may be pricy but it will be 3x more expensive if you dont protect all your wires from heat.

If its close to the K you may have sagging motor mounts, far as the abs, I had to undo the clip and move the harness out of the way.

I never thought of saggy mounts. now that you mention it I just went out there and pryed the mount and it moved easily, with no weight on it. Its an m6 so i guess urethane mounts are the best? any brand in particular?

yeah i'll move the wiring and cable tie it out of the way.

Yea, its pretty common after LTs for them to hit on the K member, due to old mounts. I had actually bought new mounts for mine, but was so tired of the install, the stock mounts looked fine so I left them be. With my abs, I was unable to unhook a the harness and pull it out of the way, pulled the harness through the frame so the I think the clip is flush with the fender well, away from the LT. I had a main engine harness to the O2 I think that had to be unhooked and pulled away so it don't get burned up. Kinda funny, they didn't design these cars with Long Tubes in mind, becomes aparent on that horrible install

Agreed on the sagging mounts. My LT's have much more clearance now after installing new urethane mounts with my motor swap.
