What all needs to be done going from a 3.8 Auto to LT1 6spd?

Fuel?
Computer
Motor Mounts?
Transmsission?

they would work but they are autos so u will need a tranny. if you can find one, pick up a junk or totalled z28 or ta with the m6 so you will have virtually everything you need (comp, harness, etc)

what year is your Z?

best way to do the swap is get the same year so that you wont have problems plugging the dash harness with the engine harness.

for example, the (OBD II) LT1 engine harness wont work with (OBD I) dash harness.

Will a Walbro 255lph fuel pump be better the stock LT1 or sufficient?

How much do ported LT1 heads and intake run? Any places to get this done?

The LT1 in the Buicks/Caddys and Caprices is the same minus the aluminum heads as in the F Bodies. You're thinking of the 4.3 liter V8.

i would recommend stick with stock fuel pump unless the walbro's cheaper. Theres a lot of people getting 400hp on stock fuel pump, so unless your planning to make way more.

Yep +1 on Donor Car. Under the hood wiring is the main thing. I assume that it'll plug right into the firewall plug and under the dash harness plugging into the ECM.
