Default Dyno Numbers CC306 Boltons

Here is a dyno chart with CC306, Full Bolts Ons, Stock heads, Walbro 255 pump, Stock injectors, PCM4LESS tune, and other items listed in sig. The first three runs were with the cut-out closed. Those were the runs I ran the lowest. The last run I ran with the cut-out open and ran 353RWHP SAE. The odd part about this is with the cut out closed I was leaning out over 18 A/F to the point were we shut down before 6 grand at times. What i dont understand is why the A/F somewhat stablized on the last run with the cut out open but was still around 15. The car is definately running out of fuel which im not sure is due to the injectors or maybe the tune. I know there is alot more power to be made but if anyone has any comments or insight it would be greatly appreciated.

First thing to check is fuel pressure underload. If it drops off your pump is junk. The torque is pretty low also my 306 cam only was 346rwhp/338rwtq and the tune wasn't great above 5k rpm. Get your fuel issue fixed and get back to the dyno to make sure things are good.

Might also look at stock injectors as a bottleneck. Do you have any way to monitor duty cycles?

I dyno'd 347hp/324tq(stalled A4) with some problems about 1-2 months ago and my inj duty cycles were at 100% by about 4800RPM. might want to check that out just to be on the safe side, cuz its too lean. Unless there was an error with the a/f monitor, I had one read falsely one time so IDK. good #'s BTW, should get some more power once you get those little things sorted out.

Definetly too Lean on the top end, also looks like detonation either due to the A/F or too much timing or both. Check out the duty cycle of your injectors and that will tell you if you need larger ones..

Exactly.

PLUS: Hook up a Fuel Pressure gauge to your shrader valve. Place it securely on top of the manifold where it can't hit on anything and watch it during the dyno pull. If your pressure falls off steeply at high RPM, then you also need to step up the fuel pump.

I should have mentioned that the fuel pump was put in less than a week ago and i fully tested with a fuel pressure gauge. It ran 43 PSI and did not drop off under load. However, i think ur right i should have checked it on the dyno.

Get some 30lb injectors but that won't fix everything I bet. Your graph looks exactly like mine when I was fighting ignition issues. Ended up replaced the coil, wires, and got a Walbro 255, Msd 6al and Dynaspark. I waited until last to replace the opti hoping it wasn't it but, as soon as the Dynaspark went it, perfectly smooth graph. Let us know how it goes.

yea it still has the stock coil thats another possibility. What about the fact that the A/F shot down and smoothed out when i opened the cut-out and added 16 rwhp. Anyone have any ideas how that could be, this i why i was leaning towards it being the tune. I know its def running lean but then with the cut out open its actually getting more fuel and making more power. Anyone?

Not sure, hopefully someone who has an idea will chime in. But I would probably replace that stock coil, how many miles are on it? Are you able to get a dyno tune or are there not any good shops near you?
