powersteering delete
powersteering delete i was thinking bout not reinstalling my PS when i get the motor back together. my car is just a once in awhile drive car so its not a DD. how much of a pain is it going to be not having PS when i do drive it out somewhere around town. i have 275/40/17 all around. i'm going to have the lines loop to each other also.
Fixin to be a bitch with those big wheels, skinnies it isnt bad, on a street car like yours, leave it in. You'll thank your self later, I have lost power steering before, its not fun with 17s. Once your moving its ok, other wise a pain in the ***. Buddies 93 had skinnies and the mad man kit, wasnt to bad, but skinnies make it easier.
hmm even with the rack having fluid in it if i looped the wires still would be hard? i would love to relocate the fluid box somewhere else out of site... maybe on the frame near the battery..

I loved manual steering. To me, it was more responsive and consistant. It's only harder to turn when moving very slowly or at a stop, like when backing out of a parking space or whatever.
If it's cheap, easy, and saves considerable weight, I'd do it in a heart beat. However, I don't think the weight savings would be at all justified in a street car. You's save what? About 20 lbs.? Would clean up the engine bay a tad for a show car, though.
