Man, i am sorry to say i installed these with a new motor so i can not compare to the old one, with them open VS them capped it feels ALLOT stronger on the big end, seems to bust the tires way harder when i slam second too. I dont see many people doing this, i was just dead set on doing it anyways.

Oh, i think my I pipe is like 2 3/4 so it really helps too prolly...since the cutouts are 2 1/2 each.

i dont see how true duals make more power considering cutout is straight flow

its not straight flow, the flow out of the y pipe is more turbulent because of the way the cutout is made, its not a smooth intersection its an abrupt change usually with weld flash making it rough

If your gonna do duals why pay an arm and a leg for the setup?
I run Purple Horny header mufflers. I took em to an exhaust shop and had O2 bungs welded in and had them shortened a bit to fit my KBDD subframes.
Total.......100 bucks. 40 each for the mufflers and 20 for the welding.

They sound great if you like glasspacks and are easily removed to work on the car.
Some time in the future I plan on doing lobaks with Dr gas boom tubes out the side just in front of the rear tire.
Should be unique.
