Default cut out vs true duals...

I am getting a cut out installed and getting my car tuned properly for the cut out. However, I was wondering what is faster a cut out or true duals?

What do you mean "what is faster"? I personally went cutout for the loudness and price compared to duals. But now that I have a cam I want duals!

TD's will make more power than a cut out.

I have the Texas speed TD's and i can feel a bigger difference with it, much more power than a cut out! I would go with TD'S if you got the money.

True Dauls will make more power when your running straight thru mufflers....

Radical setups, just need header dumps off the long tubes but thats drag/race car stuff...

TDs for the win, I felt a gain from going from a Open Y pipe, to dauls it was worth it

i am not sure but i would bet it dumps before the axle, as a custom over the axle set up can cost $1000+

the flow of the exhaust out of a true duals system will be much more consistent and smoother than out of a cutout

never said you would loose hp, usually you low end torque drops a little and you gain it on the high end

Get a universal x pipe from Jegs or Summit if you want to save money. And having true duals run over the axle isn't that expensive, only cost me $240 without the price of the tips.

You don't need a tune to run a cut out.
