Low Opti Voltage?
A few weeks ago I put on a new Opti with an MSD Cap & Rotor, and ran AC Delco spark plugs & wires and the car was running like a champ for a while.
Well about a week later it developed a miss. I got underneath it and noticed that a few spark plug wires had touched the headers but did not melt so I just zip-tied them away from any heat.
A day or two later my passenger side 02 Sensor disconnected itself from the 02 extensions! My dashboard immediately lit up and everything when to **** since then. I got under the car and noticed the loose connector and was very close to home so I just limped it back. We'll I got under the car a couple of days later to reconnect the sensor and as I started driving to school about 5 minutes down the road, I think my alternator decided to die on me. The car wasn't holding an idle, the lights were pulsing to the cam and it was running really rough. It even caused the oil pressure gauge to go down which is very very strange.
I got the car back home after it stalled twice on me and almost didn't want to start back up. I checked my oil and it was clean and no metal shavings on the oil pan bolt. Someone told me that when there alternator died all the gauges read wrong so i got a replacement Alt since mine was going on 12 years old.
We'll I bolted everything back and took the car for a spin around the block the car felt like it was being held back and didn't have any power like it used to and now the car still runs like **** and I feel a vibration in the clutch petal. I took it to get scanned this morning and a code came up for Low Opti output/voltage.
What do I do? The motor has been out twice already, and I'm really getting fed up with this car since it never seems to run right.
