idea on exhaust, any opinions?

You should make a pass without the muffler. We brought my friend's 3rd Gen IROC with a carb'd 406 to the track. It was pulling consistent 117 mph, then we pulled the 4" Spintech muffler off. The next pass was 120 mph and it stayed there.

I would go with LT's and cut-outs.

Wow! That's a lot a of HP. I'm turning about 115 mph (3750 race weight) through the pipes. In all fairness, I did request the quietest muffler. I'd be shocked though if I picked up 3 mph since I have cats and a smaller 3.5" pipe. Who knows though.

I'm currently building an LT1 turbo car now, so I'll definately keep this in mind. Maybe I won't run a muffler!!
