Default My A-4 lt1 vs. His M6 lt1. Help me out

I'm trying to get just enough done to my car, nothing too extensive, to beat a M6. The mods that he has are as follows: Accel 300+ ignition coil and wires, aftermarket elbow, flowmaster cat-back, Pro-5.0 shifter, and 4.10's. And yes he drives stick extremely well.
He's such a badass and he can woop my AZZ.
I just want to make him feel...stupid.

The only thing on my list right now are 3.73's and a shift kit.

Got any ideas.?

How much money you got to spend? Do the 3.73's & SK and TBbypass-free, exhaust, LT headers, CAI, 52mm TB and a mail order tune from Pcmforless.

TB Bypass is a MUST no matter what car you have. LT1, TPI or LS1. You already have the gears, and the others he listed are a general must. If you can't beat him with that (which you should) then stall time it is!

cliff notes.... TB=throttle body

coolent runs thru your tb in stock form.

TB bypass you bypass the coolent so it does not run thru the TB

so it does not heat up the incoming air...... hence a few more hp

All he has that will help him are the 4.10s. Everything else listed for his mods is worth minimal value. Get a stall w/ those 3.73s and its over

If you are thinking of a stall don't go over 3,000 or you will end up vibrating the teeth out of your head.
It also losens up the TC (did a 95 have TC? I don't remember) but with 3.73 it should handle it.

Default Alrighty then...

Shift kit, 3.73's, and a stall. Got it. What grand? A three grand stall? I don't want something too aggressive. I drive it everyday.

All of this will be done before the summer is over. We've got a bet going. He's convinced that I won't be able to beat him before the summer is gone.

A 3000 stall will only "flash" 3000, it will ride around 2500ish, fine for a 3.73.

i raced a stalled LT1 last weekend. He had 3.73's, built trans(A4), 3000 stall, Grenatelli MAF, Hypertech, Exhaust. I have mod's below(my sig) and from a dig i can't out launch him but after 1st gear i was at his back bumper but staying pretty even. Raced 2 times like that and same outcome. Then we ran from a 50 roll and i got him by 1/2 car to 120. Raced him one more time from a 10 mph roll which helped me since i didn't have to launch and we were DEAD even with my nose maybe 3 feet ahead from 10mph-100. He said he didn't loose to many other LT1's, let alone a M6 but he said from a roll mine was a beast but his had me from a dig.
I'd say stall it, intake, MadZ28tune, and if you really want insurance slap a 100 shot on it

i'm sure the only thing that helped me from the rolls was my 6 speed and the fact i have long tubes which help her breath MUCH better as the RPM's increase

For a daily driver, assuming you want gas mileage, you probably don't want a stall, or a very big one.

you can get a stall but I dont think it will do much good if you sit their and burn tire while he is half way down the track, you may want to get some stickies.

not sure on the tires but he had really nice Z06 rims and the tires looked good and wide. Even barely on the gas later that night he barked 'em into 2nd just leaving a light normally. But i'm not 100% on the tires he had. The tires i have are Sumitomo HTRz2's 275/40/17 and they hook good but he just took off from the light. I jsut couldn't take him with the launch He was really cool though. i talked with him for about an hour afterwards
