d & b bodies are all 2 bolt
y bodies are all 4 bolt
f bodies are mixed most have 2 bolt but some have 4 bolt like the cop ones or 1le or a bunch more i think most of the dual cat f bodies are 4 bolt

my 97 came with a 4bolt originally from the factory

I have heard that some of the 97s got left over vette blocks that were in a warehouse somewhere

1LE's are not 4 bolts from the factory... I have one and it's always been a 2 bolt (obviously not anymore)...

just wanted to clear that info up.... alot of leftover vette LT1's were used as GM replacement engines so that's how the 4 bolts ended up in F-bods.... if you got one you were lucky....

I have a cousin who worked on the production line for them and she couldn't tell me which were which.

I added splayed mains to mine.

2 things- 1 be careful which ones you buy. My machine shop had a big problem with the first set due to the cheap chinese metal.

Second, it was expensive.

after the holes were drilled I could not switch to the more expensive but quality american product due to the different angles 17* American made 18* Chinese. I ended up buy 2 more sets and the second set machined ok.
