That cam is going to want to rev higher than 6400, you'll run better times at the track with a smaller cam.

would this cam work better shifting at say 6600 or so? would a cc503 (224/230) be better to be shifting around 6300 or so with my car? i was thinking about getting one ground on a 112 LSA instaed of standard 114, however then ill have to buy it new and its gonna be a lot more money, and i dont have anyone to buy this one.

the cc503 is ground on a 112 lsa. that's what mine is and mine was not a special order or anything.

I would suggest working on your 60ft time before getting into the engine.

like i said, i go to the track like 2 times a year for fun, my car is not a drag car, i have a stock suspension with nittos cause i get them cheap and i like the look. i ran them at 30 psi and bogged. id rather keep my rearend in tact then blow it trying to prove something. track times are not THAT important to me. if they were, i wouldnt have 150 sq ft of sound deadening and 200 pounds of stereo equipment.

any other thoughts about the first cam i posted? 6400 be decent to shift it at or would it like more? like i said track times are that much to me, i want it to be fun to drive with. will it be alright to use or will it not work well AT ALL?

When I had a gm846 (222/230 112lsa) that cam liked to be shifted at 6500, and my new cam is within a few degrees duration wise and it likes to be shifited at 6500, that cam will lose alot of lowend, be harder to launch without the lowend, have a lot of cam surge, and won't run good times unless you are willing to shift at 6800+. Get a cam better suited 6400 max rpm's, the cc503 is a popular choice if you don't want to go custom.
