I'm thinking of an ORY since there's no emissions here. I don't have access to a welder though
the flanged cat gets them inspection bastards every year haha. Get someone to weld it cats are the devil!

Yea, touching cats other than factory needs is a big no no :\ What you can do is just bring the cat to them with what you want done, then they aren't liable since it wasn't on a car. You can just tell them its an off-road application for more back pressure on your turbo. Who cares what you make up lol

I don't need cats though, but I still would have the problem of finding a place to weld in the ORY w/o me having a cat :\

Not to thread Hijack, but do the dual cat Y's bolt into a 93 w/o problems? I'm sure people here have their old setup and would sell for cheap, it'd still be an upgrade for me heh

Flanging is a great idea until you start looking at what flanges cost. You potentialy would need 8 flanges if you did the dual cat set up. I used to think the FLP set up was over priced now looking at it, it's actually a good deal for all that you get. Far as question of motor mounts, its a good idea to change them because you will have no easier time to do so. I only paid 100$ for a used set of coated hooker LTs, not shiny coating but coated none the less. I also have about close to 400$ in the Y pipe with cats.

6 flanges, not 8. 2 per insert pipe which is 2 versions of the insert, so 4 total there. Then 2 on each side of the exhaust, for a total of 6.

If your running dual cats on a y-pipe then it would be 8 flanges, one of each side of the cat s theres 4 b/c 2 cats then one on each side of the piping on the y-pipe where it connects theres 8. But if u just run a single cat after the Y thats 4 flanges
