Default 94 formula wont fire

hey all. im new to lt1. i was a ls1 guy. but i cant afford it anymore so im gettin a lt1.. ok enough of my life. its a 94 formula. apparently the water pump went out. it ran when he took it in the shop. they put a new one in an after it wouldnt fire.. what do you think is wrong with it? an how sure are you.. he got diff people saying it needs a whole new wire harness.. i dont think it does.. im gettin it for 500 bux.. because hes sick of it an it just sits he dont want it anymore.. so please help me!

check for fuel, get a fp gauge. check for spark at the coil, at the opti, at the plugs, etc.

I second the idea of checking all the plug wires into the Opti and coil since they were working in that area with the water pump. Typically if the water pump goes it takes the Opti with it, but you did mention it was running when brought in. Another possibility is if they weren't careful removing the water pump and draining the antifreeze, the Opti might have got wet.

ok i will do that. is it pretty easy to change? how long does it usualy take? what all do i need to remove

Optispark required removal of the waterpump.
Expect to spend 2 hours on it.
It's not a cheap part to replace, I'd check the coil and plug wires first.

for sure. im hopeing maybe the idiots that did the pump accidently unplugged something or left it hanging on an it finally popped off. but my luck it wont be that lol
