I got my Vin Number on the Car matching in the Computer, so if they scan it, they will get a numbers matching 2002 PCM to a 1995 Chassis..

i'd think if it was illegal to swap engines that shops that part out cars with engine's for sale would be illegal too. and posting them in the paper also. I don't think it's illegal but i've been wrong before....

Like I said, I don't think it's enforced. I'm sure if someone's looking for parts of their car that was stolen, and brought it to the Police's attention, then it'd be looked into.

Believe it or not, you are supposed to report anything modified for extra power to the Insurance company so they can adjust your rates accordingly..
As far as I am concerned, they know that I still have a stock 5.7l..

well if anyone here was concerned about legality, we would be running headers, cutouts, huge cams, etc and other such goodies.

Mississippi has no vehicle inspection requirements. (Not even a safety check)

FL, no inspection, no emissions.
One of the reasons I didn't stay in CA when I got out of the Navy, CA has retarded car laws.

I hated my tour in the PRK and if you think the car laws are extreme, you need to check out their regulations on firearms.
