Thats a very big cam imho...What are your goals for the car? I'm very much into going smaller and working on the entire combo rather than going that big...For example I run what I run with a 226/234 cam in my 383....

The car that this cam is going into is highly modified. The heads are ported and should match this cam almost perfectly. The car has full bolt-ons and nitrous. I was just wondering how the cam sounds or if anyone has a soundclip. I am currently running the cc306 with 1.52 promag rockers. The heads don't seem to be breathing nearly as good as they could.

I just replaced my 847 cam with this cam. No track times yet waiting until after the f-body gathering to go back to the drag strip. the cam hits a good lick and pulls realy good. LALT1 also runs this cam in his car.

The Lift is not that big compared to the Duration, the Duration is huge.. that almost seems like a big Blower Cam..
The MS4 is a high Lift- meduim Duration Cam..this one is opposite. I am goin with the MS3, it's pretty much the MS4, just the Intake Lift is .603 instead of .650..

you will need to upgrade to the 1.6 rockers, as that is the rocker used for the lift stated.

if you consider 242/248 .584/.579 113 huge...what do you consider 246/254 .613/.590 112

Mine is close. It's custom though, using two intake lobes and closer LSA.

236/242 .580/.585 111

Just a little sample of what it sounds like. Right click and "Save target as".

With Open Borla:
http://getonitracing.net/videos/Donnie2.wmv

With Open Headers:
http://getonitracing.net/videos/donnie.MPG

These are SAE corrected numbers and the correction factor was about .95-.96. I also had about 3-5* of knock retard.

Don't mind the name or the AFR. Wideband was broken.

For reference (approximately):
MPH RPM
58 3100
64 3450
71 3800
77 4100
84 4500
90 4850
96 5200
103 5600
109 5900
116 6250
122 6600

I was sayin that the Duration for that one was big compared to the Lift. Then again the LTX Cams have a different profile compared to the LSX Cams..they have more Lift with bigger Duration.

You will find a lot of people telling you how great the XFI lobes are and FEW very FEW of those who actually use them running respecable times.
The bigger is not always better comment from above rings true too, it is an age old hotrodding mistake that people insist on repeating over and over.

That grind is similar to my cam except with more duration - who made it? Sounds beautiful!

Yep, stock ported heads that flowed very poorly, IMO. Just a little better than stock LT4 castings, but I'm very happy with the results. I'm sure there's a lot left with better heads. I also had some KR and wasn't running the Mallory box. Not bad for a mustang dyno, I'd say. Not a bad cam after all.

sounds like a sweet cam..but would only work with a big motor with big headers, stall, gear, etc.
