Default LT1 engine removal

When removing the LT1 out through the bottom of the car, is it nessacery to remove the ALT, A/C pump, and power stearing pump? And is there any other hard parts other than connectors and removing the brake lines? Any advice would be a much welcomed help.

You un-bolt the Steering Fluid Resivoir, disconnect all the AC Lines, disconnect the Harness, unbolt the bottom of the Struts, upper Spindle, Steering Linkage, Radiator Hoses and Heater Core Hoses, Tranny Lines(Auto), Brakes, Transmission Linkage, then unbolt the Cross Member and the K-member.
Did it last week..

i removed the alternator for room and its easy. the compressor has to come out or at least the lines have to be pulled off. The entire PS system can stay. just place the resevoir on top of the engine. if you have a m6 you will need to pull the slave out. Main thing is to go slow and check frequently to make sure all the ground straps are off and everything out of the way.

Then you lift the front of the car up with a cherry picker? Where do you secure it?

I did not disconnect the harness from the engine, just pulled the firewall grommet on the pass. side behind the pcm unplugged the engine harness from the interior harness and laid it all on top of the engine.

Disconnect A/C lines only, do not need to remove the pump. I didnt even disconnect them from the pump, just at the other end of the 2 lines.

PS, just unbolt the resevoir from the shock tower and lay on top of the motor.

Dont forget that there's a ground strap from the head/coil to the drivers frame rail.
Also need to unbolt steering shaft from the rack.

Disconnect the coolant hoses, unbolt shocks from tower and remove y-pipe, support k-member and transmission with jacks, unbolt k-member and trans cross-member, lift car away.

I used a 10,000 lb tow strap wrapped around the frame rails. Clipped the lift to the strap.

no you leave on the fuel rails... you know how there are 4 little bolts (2 on each side) holding down your fuel lines??? well you loosen those out, set the plate on top of it, put the bolts back through it and pull it out... its sweet! but the scary thing is only thing holding all that weight in the air is 4 1/4in bolts lol... hold on i'll try and find a pic of one...
