Y pipe or X pipe

Y pipe or X pipe Im doing headers soon and was wondering whats the sound difference between having an ORY pipe or having someone fab up a X pipe? I hear X pipe is slightly better from a performance view but how different do they sound?

IMHO:
Y pipe will sound like any typical V8 camaro driving around. The muffler choice will obvoiusly do a bit as well but, you know what it sounds like.
I have LT headers and a 3inch x-pipe setup and it sounds more like older style muscle cars. Its much louder and makes a cammed car sound pretty wicked. I mean, its less pipe and usually dumps under the car so everything echoes out off the asphalt so, you just get more sound that are just muffled out a regular exhaust.

My 96 LT1 with the x-pipe - parked - startup and rev
Another few clips of My LT1 when I had just put on the X-pipe and headers like 2 years ago. Dyno clips at the end. (282/316 at the time)
