Default Thinking about 3.73s

Right now it has 3.23s, bolt ons and spray, think gears are worth it? Figure it would make it more fun to drive with the big converter

Interesting point of view Tim, I like the way you think. Added cost is going to be getting my speedo gears changed on the tail shaft, stupid 93s

DO the gears u will feel a big differnce it was like night and day when i did mine . OH by the way when u get the chance do the converter it is true when they say it is the best thing 4 an a4 car. Combine that with gears and i say u take atleast .5 second of your 1/4 mile time.

Speaking of 93's and speedos... What's the the part in the ECM that says "Instrument Panel VSS Pulse Divisor"? It almost makes me want to say it's to auto-correct the Speedo for new gears...

Anyways, do the gears. There's some place here in MN that makes new tailshaft gears. I'm sure they already know what ratio to use for 93 Birds.

Hey Biz. I picked up some brand new motive 3.73's from a guy on another board. They have not arrived just yet, but I decided that I have other needs and that they are not that important right now. I am not sure if you could use them but if you can I would just want to get back what I paid and I would eat the shipping. I paid $210.If you are interested I can get more details.

Honestly, I think your money will be spent better elsewhere.

The spray helps TREMENDOUSLY to overcome undergearing.

Lots of gear is used to keep you in your powerband on NA applications,

while spray shoots you right into your powerband.

If you're spraying you are in your powerband period.

I think hes onto something...I have 4.10s NA with a small convertor...no spray in the near future...just dont count on any highway races

Nitrous I'm not so worried about, the car is a turd on motor though, so any help I can get I need. Cam and a set a gears I think would wake it up a little.

cc306 has a lot of exhaust on it and would love the nitrous but like guy said, the nitrous makes up for your 3.23's. If you street race at all, be aware you're running out of gear at 120 with 3.73's and it's a bad idea to spray in OD.

Just trying to make sure you consider everything.

I have 4.10's and love them. Just got another set of 4.10's in a 9". But then again the car likes 28x10.5 slicks also.
I have even pushed 150 with the 4.10s.

The 3.73's would help your car out.
