well i know it is turning on, i can hear it when i turn the key to "run" but dont crank it. What else would be the problem? i have it wired through a relay, it is grounded properly and i spliced into the cooling fan power wire from the fuse box. Im going to try and use some of my old wires to see if that is the problem.

personally i wouldn't tap into the power for the cooling fans i dont know how many amps that water pump draws but your cooling fans draw a pretty decent amount of amps when they come one, i would definitely wire that up so that the water pump has its own power supply

it does have its own power supply, i wired it right off the battery, but i used the "on" constant from the cooling fans. I didnt wire the power from the cooling fans, just the relay that turns it on.

timing can't be off unless you installed opti wrong

okay, here is my plan, tomorrow im going to test the fuel pressure and if thats fine then my next route will be to take the opti back off and exchange it for another one, if that doesnt work then im going to take it in somewhere and hope they can get it to work.

It sounds like you have bad spark through and through. I had the exact same problem. I replaced the Opti 3 times. I finally bought an MSD opti (500+ bucks) and a new set of wires. If there is any kind of open or place for the spark to leave the wire, it WILL misfire 95% of the time. Also, i swore up and down that i had my wires all correct on the opti, yet, when i took it all apart again, the 5 and 7 wires got mixed....and that caused a horrible sputter. I would check and DOUBLE check everything you have done. If the coil is bad....its usually obvious. Also....do you have any other stuff done....like a 6AL box or something? i know that has been known to cause weird crap. and even though this is unlikely, did you stabb the opti in correctly? if you got it in one of the wrong holes, then it would act like this. and one more thing. With my MSD opti, i had it on for almost 3 weeks, and it crapped....but i was able to fix it. The tiny *** screws that hold the rotor on came out. i didnt know they had posted info on it untill later on, because i had preordered mine before most people had them. But the opti could definatly be at fault here. They are a POS if you ask me....msd makes the best one in my opinion.
