code 32 egr recirculation

I just scanned my car, and it is throwing up this code? does it mean the egr is not functioning properly or what? What should I do to fix it?

Mine threw that code. Swapped the EGR valve and all is good.

thanks, was the valve causing any driveability issues for you guys before you changed it?

I'm also seeing some pretty high knock...could this be contributing?

Mine would throw the code and turn the fans on. Nothing seemed different, though. I never logged it so I couldn't say if it was picking up knock.
