Help with shift light installation
It is a Proform 67005c. It has red/black/green wires. Red is suppost to go to a 12V ignition switch. Where do I hook up the red wire too, like where on the car. Black goes to a good ground. And Green goes to either negative coil on ignition or to the tach terminal, which I assume is on the PCM. Can someone help me with the red and green wires? Thanks.

Proform 67005c
LT1 Engines: Connect the green wire to white or white with black stripe wire coming off the 32-pin connector or coming off the ignition control module (ICM) coil pack.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: In the event your shift light randomly blinks or flashes try this possible solution BEFORE returning your shift light to the retailer: We recommend you purchase a Zener diode with a value of 10 or higher. They are available from Radio Shack (part number 276-563 for $1.29 2-pack). Add the diode in line with your green wire with the diode arrow pointing toward the shift light. In some cases, more than one diode may be needed. Just add the additional diode in the same manner as the first diode. Some applications may require a tach adapter.

I can think of three possible places- (location of signal wire)
1. The white wire on the coil that goes to your factory tach. (93 fbody)
2. The white wire on the PCM for tach output. Pin A13(the red plug)
3. The white wire on the back of the cluster for the tach signal.(don't know which pin)
My shift light signal is connected with the white wire from the red connecter at the PCM. (97 fbody)
As for the red wire you could splice into the radios power supply make sure it's switched on with the ignition. (the radio also has a constant 12 volt source for memory) More than likely the radios switched power supply is also red but I am not certain.

The red wire will go to a switched source. That means it will only have power when the key is on. Just look in the fuse panel on the drivers side and you will easily find one.
