Yes, the air/egr is the same emissions crap. It can be gotten rid of when headers are done, or you can keep it if you need it.

The thing with the AIR on these Cars is that it's electric, NOT Belt Driven..all kinds of people ask about that..

Lt1's are great engines, the other night i ran a cam only ls1 m6 ws6 from a dig and stayed door to door until about 90, then he started pulling me, ls1 are top end monster's so its to be expected. this dude was a cool ls1 owner, he complemented my car and said it was quick, that suprised me. i was pretty impressed w/ my car. mods are in the sig and my cam is not in yet.

270/290 would be a very very good dyno for a stock LT1. 290/310 is unpossible.
290-310ft-lbs is unpossible stock?

If you think the ls1 is a pita to work on, you might not like the lt1.

Great deal for the money though. And installing headers and getting read of the AIR, etc helps a LOT with freeing up some space to make it easier.

id say relocate the optispark into the glovebox then youll be set.

LT1Z28...what a great looking car.

I know about the optispark because of the whole waterpump thing. Learned that real quick. haha.

Im really not looking to be in Ls1 territory. Just a nice 350rwhp machine. And the LT1 looks to be the answer.

Welcome to the site man.

After owning a LS1 and now being on my second LT1, I will tell you the LS1 is definately a monster in the top end...but LT1's are great cars and definately perform very well. You are making a great decision to stop sticking money into your car and buying one that already puts that power down stock.

Full boltons , an electric waterpump , man fanswitch and 160 thermo is all u need lol

The last three things i mentioned is for keeping the car from overheating
