Default Transmission mount question

I first put in a cheap oem transmission mount in my formula firebird and only four months later, it busted. I just got through installing the energy suspension transmission mount which was about $20.00 more than the oem mount. I was wondering if any of you have experienced a problem with lining up the holes on the crossmember to support the Energy Suspension mount. I noticed that someone had a hard time with installing different mounts because the crossmember that the mount rests on had been drilled out a few times, and made the hole actually bigger. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I used the Energy Suspension poly mount on my 94Z. The holes lined up fine. Where did you buy it for the cost to be $20 more than a stocker? I bought my Energy Suspension piece at Autozone, and only paid $23.

Very common actually.
You can push the tranny back and make it fit, although people have told me that it messes up your pinion angle.

On my 95, I made the hole in the crossmember bigger and made it fit without a problem.
On my 93, I just pushed the tranny back until it fit.

Both cars had adjustable torque arms, the angle seemed fine before and after.

mine fit the same way, it was tight. i just ran the bolts in a few threads each and torqued them down, works fine
