Us street car guys here seem to think "if it don't break, your not trying hard enough to win" I think you should def have him, if he's lucky he is making probably at most 400 rwhp based on those mods. Bolt on stangs even tuned will dyno 250's and 260's. Have you had tune after the h/c swap? if not you should still be mid 300's with the 100 shot mid 400's. But that's just power mods. Does he run sticky tires or have suspension work?

No, I havn't had it tuned yet, and yes he's running a set of DR's out back and the only thing supension he had is it's lowered a bit. He's putting down around 500rwtq, but that's on the bottle
I think you won't have much of a issue winning this one. Hey how many more pounds does a 05 GT weigh more than your Fbody? You stated you will probably cut a better 60ft. and his car weighs more.
Just make sure you've got everything right and have lots of test passes/runs under your belt...Sounds like he's got a lot of seat time with his set up..You need to get some with yours...I've seen lots of cars that should win races not win...Thats racing...Strange things can and usually will happen...Good luck with everything...
