well 8 pm I decide to go to the track. Finally get to sealy at about 9:30ish. Cool. Problem #1, when it's that late don't even try. Problem 2. GO to start the generator for the trailer and the cord breaks, great no power. So after fidling with it I give up and go tech the car. Get into the staging lanes and Problem 3. The fuel pump cuts out. Can't get it working. Tow it back to the trailer. Find out it was a ground wire terminal coming loose. Wire it back up, everything seems good. Hit the power swicth and the fuel pump comes on, WTF. Problem 4. By now I should have relized nothing was going right and trouble is just waiting. I say screw it and go to make a pass. Burnout is good stage and bam off, 1.39 60' on the back tires. Carried them good. Chasis is working good now since I reset the pinion angle to 1 degree negative from the 5 degree positive it was on (long story, chasis man wouldn't listen to me on how to set pinion angle, now he believes me). About 7K RPM in first the motor stumbles and I know something is wrong,it's leaning out and running out of fuel. I let off the gas kill the ignition shift to second. I shut her down, put her in nuetral and coasted. Still went 6.5X at 83 mph. About 35 mph off of what she's running in the 1/8th. The pass would have been a solid 5.80-5.90 pass on the first stage (200 shot). Oh well fuel pump ain't working right now. Load the damn car up and went home. But the car is getting faster and faster without adding any power, just suspension tuning right now. Hopefully Wed I can make a 1/4 and see how well it's working. I thing the car will go a 9.0-9.10 (car likes to big end) on the first stage alone if not better. Still got the second stage to mess around with (300 shot) =0

 

Dang Rick, your car is frickin' flyin' even with the few mishaps that are creepin' up. Lemme know if your going to roll to HRP Wednesday cause I'd like to see the car run.

Is it just me or are there a ton more 9 second lt1's out there these days than ls1's? Mad props, hope you get your bugs worked out.
