be careful of what brand you buy, especially on ebay. A buddy recently bought a hood and that thing was so crappy, it didnt fit right, it wouldnt let the headlights open, the nostrils werent open, and worst of all, it was SUPER heavy.
I would honestly pay more for a quality hood.

Try VFN Fiberglass
http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/site.htm
They are a sponsor here and from what i here they make some of the best quality hoods out their, and the pricing is definitely very affordable. Just give them a call.

First off, VFN does not make a LT1 WS6 hood, I wish they did because they seem to have very good quality control. Now, VFN can make custom hoods, and I bet that if a bunch of people on this site were interested in a WS6 hood for the good ole LT1, they would make a solid mold and put it into production. If you want one like OEM but probably cheaper, call VFN and let them know there are a bunch of people interested and get a price.
Second, Suncoast Creations sells two hoods, one like stock and the other is different with the hood scoops. both are expensive and you can find better.
Another option is Harwood, who sells a OEM style WS6 hood and is much cheaper. I believe their quality and fit is good. I may end up buying mine from them one day.
The style in the ebay post has scoops more like the ls1 design and not too many people like them because they don't flow with the lt1's lines as well. As for the fit and quality, that is up in the air. US Exotics used to make a great quality hood in the same design but I think he sold the mold and doesn't do hoods for lt1s anymore.
Lots of options, I would call VFN first and just ask what they can do, it can't hurt. If that doesn't work out, look at Harwood for OEM style look at some junk yards and maybe you'll get lucky. It isn't too often that you see OEM hoods for sale because basically everyone with an lt1 wants one if they don't have on already.

Well, I'd love to get a hood, but I doubt I'll have the money. At any rate, it's good to know this now, as the one I like is the Comp T/A. The Firehawk just doesn't fit the body lines.
Thanks
