When you buy a new opti spark, does it come with the wiring harness? Im just curious because I need a new opti, and a new wire harness as well.

 

An OEM replacement doesnt not. It is sold seperate. I can tell you on the other hand that the MSD opti does come with a hard wired harness, it come with the vented opti and cap w/ tubing. and it also comes with a new splined stud that is actually built into the opti. less hassel when trying to reinstall it. I cant speak on any of the other aftermarket optis. Only experience in hte MSD. Hope that helps.
P.S. I replaced the opti twice in 2 months when i replaced the original one with the GM Performance Opti, replaced that last one with the MSD (8 months ago) Im still running the same one.

 

By the way not ragging on the GM Performance Products, its is very possible that i just had bad luck. I tend to have that alot.

 

Harness is available on ebay for about $35. I bought one, very happy.
