With the Pro 5.0 you can swap out the shifter like to Lou's short stick, cut around an inch off and there you have the perfect shifter. But with the Ripper you are stuck with the long *** shifter that comes with it...
Have you drove with both of the shifters??? Cause I have...The Pro5.0 was junk. I mis-shifted 2-3 twice. Not the case with the B&M...And your information about not being able to purchase a short stick for the B&M is false also. I HAVE a short stick for my B&M...I'm not trying to sway anybody, I am just putting my personal experience out there for anyone to use.

I have never used the B&M but I have used the 5.0. From my experience with the 5.0 is it is anything but junk. I've never missed a shift with it. I couldn't be happier with this shifter. It feels rock solid and very precise. I'm not knocking the B&M, I'm sure it's a good shifter. I just don't see how you can say it's junk, unless you got a defective shifter from them?

At the time I got my shifter I went with the cheapest thing I could find, and I've never been happier. SLP shifter, TNA short stick. Topped with a B&M t-handle. The shifter and stick ran me like $125 shipped, but I don't think tna sells the two together anymore there on ebay. This was almost 4 years back now, so of course the other choices are cheaper now, but I remember when they were almost $200 for a Hurst.

Damn the stock shifter is junk, I remember missing the 2-3 shift when I test drove the car I bought, not even trying to shift it fast or anything! The first time I went to get on the car I made such a *** of myself.
