Default serious fuel problem

ill be driving and it will get really rich out of nowhere. My check engine light will flicker on and off. IDk but i noticed my low coolant on too. IT pops like crazy shooting fireballs. I cant really move anywhere. So ill turn it off and back on. IT will be fine for about for 5 seconds and go back to being rich but if i like ''downshift and floor it'' past 3k it will fix itself..WEIRD, whats going on

also, this is random. IT'll happen one night today and not for another week

I was going to say that, but I just couldn't imagine them because of the fact that he can barely drive when it happens, and it's so random/rare. My pass side is bad but it's lean, not rich :\ I suppose they CAN die at lean or rich.

If they're really bad, they can do wacky things. The guy I bought my current car from had that happen. Said it was sputtering and misfiring really bad. He unplugged the o2 sensors and that went away.

no, I mean the front ones. They are are the ones that control fuel. Rear O2s have nothing to do with it.

well no, you should replace them (if that is the problem).

You can test it by doing that though. If you unplug them and the problem goes away then you know that is the issue and you should replace them. If you still have the problem then it's not the o2s but something else.

It won't alter your tune but leaving them unplugged will just cause it to run in open loop and your gas mileage will suck.
