Horn Smoke

Horn Smoke
Well today while testing some of my electronics in the car I was trying to test the horn and when I did I noticed smoke coming from the steering column.
Now I took the wheel and removed everything and did not find any burnt wires or signs of burning.
Before this happened the horn relay would click but there would be no sound from the horns. Now the horn relay will not even click.
Could whatever of happened just fried something in the column that sends the horn signal to the relay?
No fuses are blown either.
Mike

Well I smell nothing now. Just saw smoke when it happened.
I took out the blinker cancel swith and associated parts, unplugged it from the plug at the bottom of the column and moved it around enough to see if there was any burnt wires. Saw nothing.
I have looked at the wiring diagram for the horns and I know on the horn relay there is an orange wire that should get constant power and it does. There is a green wire that should only get it when the horn buttons are pushed...well nothing.
Thanks,
Mike
