Default Bleeding the coolant system

What's the best way to purge the air out of an LT1 coolant system? Is there a procedure or do you just crack open a line?

you open the two bleeder screws until coolant comes out.

make sure it doesn't drip on the opti.

The screw on the left may have to be done with the car warmed and running, make sure the heater is on also.

Get the front of the car raised as well, so that the bleeders are at the highest point in the system.

That's a very good idea, hadn't thought of that before.

Yeah parking on an incline seems to get the air out of pockets that normally take some driving ,to get where you can bleed the air out.
It is also important to make sure the system is holding pressure before bleeding. I had a leak, and did not ever hear a hiss when uncapping the radiator. Once it was fixed the pressure hiss (from uncapping)came back.(good)

Knowing that you have pressure in the system ensures that you will not suck air in when you open the bleeders.

I would get water to overflow out of my reservoir while trying to bleed the bleeder screws when there was a system leak.
